Our Encounters
So, basically your entire experience is an encounter of itself given the hands-on nature of our park. However, the Exotic Resort Zoo currently offers two special encounters to add-on to your experience!
Please note that children (2-12) must be accompanied by an encounter-paying adult; i.e. at least one adult must also purchase the encounter as well.
Meet Matrix, the Reticulated Giraffe
Matrix is a 7-year-old Gelding, originally born to a park like ours just north of Dallas, Texas. He has called our park home since 2021. Reticulated Giraffe are the tallest land mammal, standing between 15-19 feet tall. Matrix is currently just under 18 feet and weighing around 2,000lbs. He can eat up to 75lbs of feed a day, majority of which is a special formulated pellet for large herbivores. However, he loves munching on browse, grasses and hays as well. His favorite treat is fresh produce from YOU!
Interact with our Reticulated Giraffe for $5 per person. Children (2-12) must be accompanied by a paying adult; i.e. at least one adult must also purchase the encounter as well. The fee includes access to the giraffe platform & lettuce!

Meet Chloe & Clyde, the Cutest Capybara Couple
Chloe and Clyde are a 3-year-old breeding pair of Capybara born to a Wedding Venue in Oklahoma! Unfortunately, Capybara poop up to 6lbs a day! And well… Poop and weddings simply don’t mesh. So, the pair found their forever home here with us in 2024. They’ve blessed us with ten happy, healthy pups during their duration here so far. All of which have been relocated to other parks of our nature to spread the Capybara cuteness. Chloe & Clyde are continuous grazers, always chowing on a special rodent chow and fresh produce. They particularly enjoy hard root vegetables to keep their ever-growing teeth at bay. Despite a free-fed diet, they love to interact with you guys as well… stealing lettuce, belly rubs & hearts all day.
Interact with our Capybara for $5 per person. Children (2-12) must be accompanied by a paying adult; i.e. at least one adult must also purchase the encounter as well. The fee includes access into the Capybara yard & lettuce!

It is VERY IMPORTANT to note that children (2-12) must be accompanied by a paying adult; i.e. at least one adult must also purchase the encounter as well. By paying adult, we do not mean just your admission. At least one adult must also purchase the encounter to escort the children. Because, ultimately, you are paying for the experience not the lettuce. So, to stand face-to-face with our Giraffe or give the Capybara a belly rub, is a true experience. Whether you are handing them a snack yourself or holding a tiny hand and helping your sweet child experience the encounter.
Please also keep in mind that these encounters are not guaranteed. If Matrix, Chloe or Clyde are not cooperating for the moment, we may cancel or postpone the option to add-on an encounter at any time. They are the first priority, so please respect their space if so. And, lastly, our encounters are an ADD-ON not a stand-alone ticket, visitors must purchase General Admission before adding and enjoying an encounter.
We do our very best to keep everything as affordable as possible here at the park, without compromising our animal and staff’s well-being and care. So, we genuinely hope that you appreciate our little add-ons and take advantage of them before or after your tour!
