Cabin #1 – The Bear’s Den

The Bear’s Den is one of our original cabins, hand-built by our owner, Dennis, in early 2000. He took pride in constructing the entire building with aromatic cedar, including the interior and cathedral-style ceilings. In 2024, our team reworked the cabin’s interior to bring everything up to speed for maximum comfort!

Take a few steps onto the large front porch for some much-needed relaxation in the shade of an oak tree before walking through the front door. Once inside, you’ll immediately enter into one of the sleeping quarters. Here, we have a queen-sized bed, perfect for two to enjoy a restful night after a full day of safari adventures. This room is also equipped with bar-top seating for four to enjoy a meal and a few cozy chairs to sit back and relax. Across the room, you’ll spot your kitchen essentials: a fridge, microwave and a coffee pot! Take a moment to notice your bathroom vanity and sink access situated here as well, before stepping into your ensuite bathroom. The bathroom is equipped with a walk-in shower to wash the bison slobber away and a toilet. Similar to all of our four-sleeper cabins, you may set foot into the private bedroom to find another queen-sized bed. This room is perfect for another two guests to snuggle the night away!

The Bear’s Den is easily our most-reserved cabin. We find that between its rustic charm and ideal location close to the original resort pool and waterfall, guests simply get lost in a magical moment. This cabin is also perfect for constant interaction with our animals, as it is nestled near the fenceline of the safari park!
