That’s about a $70 value for a family of 4 just for staying with us!

Cabin guests can enjoy their tour anytime during business hours that will take you through 137 acres, where you will be introduced to hundreds of freely roaming animals.

During the tour you will get to interact and feed many animals, while the tour guides educate and entertain you with their unique characteristics, including where they are from, their personalized names, and even unique habits!

You can also come up and visit the petting zoo areas during business hours and enjoy a picnic around some of our babies.

***Free tour can be taken at any time during stay.  Must be a paid cabin guest to qualify for complimentary tour.

When you rent one of our cabins, you have access to two swimming pools with a beautiful waterfall…there is a small wading pool that’s perfect for your little ones (it’s only 12-18 inches deep!). It’s also fun for adults – just put your lounge chairs in the shallow water and enjoy a bit of sunbathing, while being cooled down by the water!

The second pool has its own waterfall and is completely constructed with beautiful limestone rock. The pool overlooks the center pasture and lake area, where you can watch all of the roaming animals, as well as the breathtaking view of the surrounding hill country.

The entire fencing area has also been newly renovated with metal powder-coated railing.

Equipped with a covered cabin house, slide, several swings, and sand box…it’s sure to be a hit with your lil’ ones.

We also have a covered dining area next to the playscape, so adults can monitor there…or hop on over to the nearby fire pit to cook up some goodies!

Here you’ll find a billiards table along with a few pool cues while you cooking meals for larger groups.  We had the felt redone a little while back, but you may want to bring your own cue along if you’re a shark Surprised!

Not a pool shark? That’s OK, you can still enjoy a game of darts or ping pong…or even the big screen that we run for special games/events (as well as advanced request in some cases).

We have a fenced in section so you can safely walk to the lake without some of the larger animals coming up to you.

On your stroll, you’ll encounter free roaming mini donkeys, along with various deer to cuddle with. Our enclosed kangaroo viewing exhibit is on the left as you walk down towards the pond area.

For those who have stayed with us in the past, we’ve relocated the swans and wallabies to other exhibit areas within the zoo (you will still see them out on your guided tour).

When you renting any of our cabins, you can enjoy doing some outdoor cooking on a unique wood-fired barbecue pit (with a large Texas star on the lid) or cook on your own personal charcoal grill located in front of each cabin.

All cabins have picnic tables for outdoor dining – or you can relax in the pavilion area, where there is a seating area on a rock deck near the swimming pool, as well as an outdoor kitchen with a pool table to pass the time…playing your game of choice!

Either way, feel free to sit back and enjoy the view, as you cook for your group in this unique setting…creating memories to look back on for a lifetime (and hopefully to inspire many future trips to return with your group)!

We have a huge fire pit so you can setup for a quiet camp fire to cook up some s’mores or hot dogs. Or you can just sit back and enjoy watching silhouettes of animals roaming in the moonlight.

We provide plenty of wood behind the racks, along with a container with starter fluid.  You can usually find a stick lighter on the outdoor cooking pavilion (to light up the gas grills), but you may just want to bring something along from home to ignite your bonfire up a bit…

Beyond that, get to roastin’ and relaxin’!!

Just want to kick back and relax on your porch to enjoy the view or majestic sunrise/sunset?  These decks (and balcony for cabin 5) are here to meet your relaxation needs.

Feel free to lounge away and watch all the animals moseying around the lake for a drink…all from the comfort of your personal front porch area or balcony!

Also, if you pick up an extra bucket of feed to keep at your cabin, you can keep an eye out for the larger animals (camels, bison, zebras) and feel free to hand feed them while in the enclosed cabin area!

If you’ve gone all in and rented Dottie’s Place (Cabin 6), you will enjoy the largest deck offered at any of our cabins.  Prepare to enjoy the distant hill country views while you kick back and watch the buffalo roam Cool

The catfish stocked pond is a catch and release. You will want to bring your own poles/bait/tackle and the cost to fish is $10.00 per fishing pole/line.

We used to provide poles, but all have since made their way to the bottom of the water.  There are no water horses or “Nessie’s”, but we’ve seen some large catfish come out of there!

Don’t forget to
check the weather!
