All cabins have A/C units for the summers & gas heaters for the winter time! We also provide towels for bathing and linens on all beds. Bring your own pool towels if you plan on swimming! If your cabin has a kitchen, expect pots, pans, plates, bowls, utensils and a drying mat for your dishes. If there is no kitchen in your particular cabin, we have a mini fridge, microwave and a coffee pot for you to use. We will supply you with a little bit of coffee, but feel free to bring your own!
We do not supply body wash, shampoo or conditioner – however, there’s plenty of toilet paper to go around. If you are planning an extended stay, please bring some extra toiletries as we do not restock linens or toilet paper during the stay. We also do not supply paper towels, charcoal, lighter fluid or a lighter!
We have recently transitioned back to our Guided Tours. You will receive one Guided Tour complimentary with your stay. At this time, we are still allowing cabin guests to drive around the park in their own vehicle to visit the animals as well, at their own risk. This is subject to change as we see fit! The petting zoo is also open and can be enjoyed at any time during your visit.
When you rent one of our cabins, you have access to two resort-style swimming pools!
Our original pool has a small wading pool that’s perfect for your little ones and a deeper pool for older kids and adults. The pool overlooks the center pasture and lake area, where you can watch all of the roaming animals, as well as the breathtaking view of the surrounding hill country. It is also equipped with a beautiful waterfall filtration system.
The second pool is brand spankin’ new! It is more centrally located between the cabins. It has a tanning shelf and built in seats! It also slopes down to about 4 foot deep! This pool is placed right next to our petting zoo and kangaroo exhibit! So you are sure to have animal entertainment, even as you’re cooling off in the pool.
Bring your own pool towels, we do not supply any!
All of our cabins are equipped with free WiFi, however, being our rural location, you might not always have the best signal. Hopefully, you’re not here for the WiFi, anyway! Haha! We also have Direct TV in all the cabins – not in every room, but at least in the main room for your leisure in the evenings!
We recently had a brand spankin’ new playscape installed! It’s sure to be a hit with your little ones!
Here you’ll find a billiards table equipped with pool sticks and balls. It’s perfect for some friendly competition.
Not a pool shark? That’s OK, you can still enjoy our projection screen TV! It’s fully equipped with DirectTV channels and surround sound.
Not to mention, you’ve got an amazing view of our entire cabin area and surrounding pastures of freely roaming critters.
In this small petting zoo just for cabin guests, you’ll encounter free roaming deer, pot-belly pigs, ducks and geese. You can also get up close and personal with our kangaroos, turkeys and chickens! This is a special encounter that only our cabin guests can enjoy.
This petting zoo is separate from our main petting zoo at the gift shop. Keep in mind, the main petting zoo may not be open during your stay due to COVID-19 restrictions. However, this little one at the cabin area definitely is! In fact, a lot of the petting zoo animals in the cabin area like to escape… don’t be alarmed if you see a little ol’ deer on your front porch! Haha!
Catfish Fishing in Lake Carlisle
Lake Carlisle is situated directly in front of the cabin area… and it is stocked with huge catfish! You can safely walk through the petting zoo, down a winding rock path, to find the perfect fishing spot! You may enjoy fishing here but it is catch and release. We don’t supply any fishing gear so you will want to bring your own poles/bait/tackle.
All of our cabins are equipped with a personal charcoal barbeque pit. Bring along your favorite utensils, charcoal and lighter fluid!
We also have a Texas-sized wood-fired barbeque pit by the community patio thats perfect for entertaining a larger crowd.
Additionally, all cabins have personal picnic tables for outdoor dining!
We have recently made a few changes to our community bonfire due to COVID-19. We have added several more! There are now five small fire-rings perfect for your family to enjoy a quiet camp fire to cook up some s’mores or hot dogs.
We provide a container of starter fluid and you can purchase a bundle of campfire logs for only $5 at the gift shop! You can usually find a stick lighter in your cabin, but you’ll never be too safe to bring one along with you.
All of our cabins have personal sitting areas on the front deck. These were constructed with the hopes that you would enjoy the beautiful surrounding Hill Country with your loved ones. We want you to see exactly why we picked this location for our beautiful animals to call home.
Our favorite view can be found atop the top balcony of the Elk Lodge!
We work hard to maintain all of these free amenities and keep our pricing as low as we can. However, we do reserve the right to alter these amenities at any time, without notice as we see fit for our establishment!
